  Oak Grove is a beautiful house of God on the main intersection in Chesapeake. The congregation is diverse and friendly.
  I love that there are two distinctly different services. the early service is in the 1850 sanctuary and is traditional. The 11:00 service is in the modern Whitehurst Hall, and the contemporary praise band is awesome!

  This church is exactly what I was looking for! Everyone is very friendly and open to newcomers. If you want to get involved, there are numerous opportunities to volunteer in a variety of ministries. They offer a good selection of small groups/Sunday school classes. The music is excellent and Pastor Frank is personable and casual. The youth play a big part in the service and they also recently opened the popular "Sonny's Wonderful Cafe", where they sell smoothies, coffies, pastries and specials! Highly recommended. Check out Oak Grove!
