  • Parkway Christian Center Church is a fantastic place to worship. My family and I have attended for nearly 5 years and the first thing I can tell anyone is this church is full of love and compassion. Our pastor Robbie Jones has a heart for the total community, regardless of race, creed, or social status. Nobody at Parkway acts as if they are more important than the next person. There always seems to be an abundance of love and committment for every event. People are not overworked and there are no demands that that are totally consumming. I am a musician and my wife Kimberly is a member of the worship team. If we cannot attend a service, event or function, we are not pressed by anyone. Sometimes the amount of genuine care is overwhelmingly great. I have never been a part of any ministry before that operates in the manner that Parkway does and I have almost always been an active member at every church I attended regularly. This goes back to 10 years of age (47 now).

Parkway is very diverse with a bunch of members that are downright color blind, which is exactly how we are supposed to be in God's kingdom. I believe anyone attending, including members, perspective members or just curious passers by will feel or have felt the genuine spirit of love, the awesome move of the spirit and have witnessed the incredible life and lifestyle changes that have and will continue to occur through this ministry. Programs like Bless the Children, Run for the Wall, Free Camp and the various Upward Sports programs, are just a few of the great programs that provide a great service to the community as a whole and serve as avenues to not only service Christians, but also as conduits to reach those that have not yet experienced the love of Christ in their lives.

Parkway is an excellent church to visit and attend.....

  • My husband and I were married here by Pastor Robbie in 2007. We love our church family! The worship is intense. The service is Holy Spirit led. Many times the service has changed in praise and worship as the Spirit has led. Pastor Robbie helps bring The Word to life by explaining and helping the congregation to understand what God is trying to reveal to us. The congregation is very diverse in race, financial status and education. Somehow all are accepted as family. I dress for comfort and this is accepted. It is a come as you are church. The children's ministry is exciting and the kids are very involved. I found this to be a community serving and dynamic church with people who are not perfect and do not pretend to be.

We had just left a church after 10 years of starting a contemporary service back in 2006, and my son and wife leading the praise and worship, and I the youth Group. We left because after 10 years it was finally revealed to us that this was a denomination called Pentecostal Holiness International (IPCH). We did not agree with the level of bondage, and controlling fear that was required to become a member, called articles of faith. When a church hides who they are? I become weary, and suspicious. Upon arriving at Parkway church, we were excited, because it was stated that Robbie and his wife loved the Lord. (I am sure they do). Everyone was nice until we went to the children's section, it was offered to my wife if she would like to take a look in the nursery for our 11 month old, she did upon coming out the director of the nursery jumped all over her about how she can't go back there, for this reason and that. My wife decided right there and then we will take our child with us. What it did for me was start my thinking wheels why so controlling, fear oriented, how that was not very inviting. We continued thru their process and ended up in the sanctuary, and we immediately did not feel the presence of the Lord/Holy Spirit. We started praising and worshiping and realized the lack of people attending, and lack of involvement. We had to push thru, and it was a struggle to praise and worship with in this house. I had to use the restroom and started to read there literature with in the visitors bag, and noticed something strange. They do not tell you who they are? Denomination, nondenominational? How ever on there website I read something that sounded so familiar, and went to the IPCH site and found word for word the same beliefs. Then I found the tiniest logo of ipch, and now the mystery was settled. So thats who they are, and why their praise and worship is so dry, and why their children's church director was so fearful, and why they have a lack of attendance. We started to hear the exact same message about revival, and in 12-15 months this church was going to explode in new members, and that it would be done through this church, a lot of me, me, this house this house. The fact remains that you hide who you are just like a cult, until you engraciate people in your fold, then demand memebership to be apart of the great commission thru YOUR house. (God gives all things material) IPCH church's all seem to do this, I have not figured this out yet, but it is fear based, and bondage based this I know, and were there is fear there cannot be faith, and that is why you have a lack of attendance, and the praise and worship is not bring down the presence of the Holy Spirit. We left in the middle of the service so the pastor that was speaking would not have to walk over our dead bodies as he so genriously demonstrated on stage, gave our visitors bag to the visiting older couple next to us. The director of the children's nursery did come to apologize to us for her behavior, and it was much appreciated, and be released it was a combination of things that caused us to not stay, not just you.
